Foiling your eyeshadow is a method of making shadows appear more metallic or vivid by applying them wet. This is great way to create a more formal/party look or a great way to refresh your makeup for a night out.
First you'll want to prime your lids either with your favorite primer or just a base of shadow; if you already have eyeshadow on from the day. you can go right over it. Next sprinkle a little of your Dollipop™ shadow out into either the lid of the jar or onto a clean smooth surface like a makeup artist palette. Now take a rounded shadow brush and wet it slightly, you don't want it dripping wet, just damp, so you may need to wipe it off on a paper towel a bit before dipping it into the product in the lid. Mix the shadow and water (or you can use a mixing media for makeup or a setting spray) until the consistency is similar to paint. Tap of any excess powder to help prevent fallout, then apply the foiled product starting at the center of your lid and working your way out. You can also use a clean finger to apply if you're more comfortable with this application method. One or two layers is enough to make an eyeshadow pop, but you can layer it more if you're going for really vivid look. Fallout can happen, due to the nature of loose pigments, so be sure to clean up under your eyes with a makeup wipe or clean cloth before applying liner or mascara if this occurs. Take a clean dry flat brush to soften the edges of the foiled shadow carefully working in a light circular motion if needed and finish your look off with a makeup setting spray. Enjoy!
